Subject: [ferrethealth] How can I tell if my newly adopted ferret is spayed?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I just adopted a tiny lil' female ferret, she is not from a mass breeder because she has no tattoos in her ears. We also checked her toes -because I had a ferret that had toe tatts, but she has none. The lady I got her from gave me little info because she had reciently got her, herself.

I looked for a "spay line" but I don't have female ferret to compare it too. I have been able to identify a female spayed dog by looking for the spay line, but I am not so sure with a female ferret. She is also a very tiny ferret, not so much underwieght just small. She seems young about 1y/o her left eye is damaged and so is her left upper canine, probabbly from being locked in a cage, and her wanting out.

Is it easy to see the spay line?
Thanks any help will be great!
