Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Frequent urinating

Time for a prompt vet appointment in case of risk of blockage.

The symptoms could be behavioral if the ferret is seeking threshold locations, but it could easily be from either adrenal disease or uroliths (urinary stones). With either one complete urinary blockage is a risk that can quickly become fatal.

If uroliths then the urine pH will help tell which type is present. The maintenance approaches after treatment vary with different types of stones.
