He had adrenal surgery when he was only a little over a year old?!? Was adrenal disease confirmed?

Why was he put on pred if all his blood work was normal?

What made you think he might have a blockage?

This seems like an awful lot of aggressive surgical interventions for a ferret this young.

What happened 5 months ago that might have contributed to him becoming depressed? Was he energetic and playful before?

I have a ferret Cappuccino, about a year old, who I adopted a couple of months ago, who is very timid, easily intimidated by other ferrets, tended not to play much and requires a lot of encouragement. I recently acquired a kit and this baby has made a huge difference for Cappuccino. He has come to life, plays with the kit and has come out of his shell.

Your ferret may simply have a more sensitive and timid temperament.
