Go to strobachyzoo.tripod.com, and click on "Yetta"

[It just pulled up a general Tripod page and nothing related to the shelter,
so any past fragments are gone. Write directly to the poster to see if an
image can be emailed to you. -- Moderator]

Yetta had a tumor behind her eyes. The vet put her on a low dose of prednisolone to help slow the growth of the tumor(s)

We got many more quality months together, but due to her looks, she would most likely never have been adopted from any conventional shelter.

In our sanctuary setting, we are experienced in the care of terminal ferrets. We have meds on hand, in the event that our hospice furchildren experience any pain--and we have a fully cooperative vet,in the event of any emergency.

Yetta ran & played, had a good appetite, and gave wonderful kisses, clear up until the day before she died.

We are always happy to share our experience with other shelters, in the hopes that it will help another shelter ferrent , or another little one, somewhere out there. We`re not vets, but we have sure seen a lot in 11 1/2 years...
Feel free to email us.

Love, Zoo
