To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

The last batch of duck soup I made for him had about a 1/4tsp of Ferravite in it and also 1/2tsp of heavy whipping cream. It consisted mostly of his ferret kibble, which is EVO (recently switched from totally ferret if that makes a difference), 2 jars of gerber chicken and pedialyte for the dehydration. Obviously, with his BG this high, I took those first two out. I am making it now with just the Gerber chicken, A/D and pedialyte.
The only meds he was on was Amoxicillan at 0.2ml 2x a day for 10 days (done with it as of xmas) and antibiotics for his ears, which are also done with.
I am going to get a meter tonite, and as a precaution, the insulin and needles and test him before I go to sleep and if its higher then at the vets, I was thinking of giving him an injection. Do you think this would be a good idea?
