Subject: [ferrethealth] Ferret vomiting
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Please help ASAP. A friend has an older male ferret that eats (Totally
Ferret, ZuPreem and TFS Supreme) but then vomits it up. She took him to
the (so called) best vet hospital in town where the vet talked her into
a double adrenal surgery, thinking I guess that somehow that was causing
the vomiting. Yes, he was adrenal but would that do this? She takes him
chicken gravy for after surgery. A day later he is still vomiting so
they do the barium x-ray exam. He did pass some stool that she said was
nasty looking. They send him home with four meds and he is still vomiting.
What could this be? Perhaps allergy to chicken? Megesophagus? Something
still in the gut?
BTW she has racked up enough charges on this to buy a large-screen tv
plus the furniture to support it.

Any answers out there?

Thanks,
