I didn't worry too much about the low glucose because they pulled the
blood at 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon. She had never really showed any
signs of insulinoma before this, no staring, no lethargy, no foaming at
the mouth etc. I just assumed as Suki did that the blood had sat around
and the Glucose had been eaten up. She was much to alert to have had an
actual 23 BG.

With that said, Last night she started having some weird tremors and
her whole body was shaking. They continued until today and the are not
as bad but are still present. The emergency vet doesn't have a ferret
vet there today so I am going to try and get her through until
tomorrow. She can stand and walk but is so shakey she is not very
mobile. Could too much Dextrose do that? Should I switch to a lactated
ringer without Dex in it for tonights dose? She isn't as eager to eat
either. I don't want to euthanize her prematurely because the first vet
doesn't have it right but I don't want her to suffer either. I will
take her to another hospital tomorrow but anything that you could offer
now would be grateful. thanks, Mary Jo
