Well, it's best to not assume, which is why
I asked how long the blood waited before testing
because we don't know if the delay was before
testing, after testing or both. If the delay was
a long one before then the number can't be
trusted and should be redone.
What you describe could be caused by either
too little or too much blood glucose so it
really needs to be measured.
If it corrects with some oral glucose then the
chances are higher that there is insulinoma,
or if the ferret is not eating then diet caused
low blood glucose is among the possibilities.

I think that you need to call your vet to ask directly
about the Pepcid. There may have been an aspect
of weighting immediate risk factors which could
have altered since then. Sometimes there is no
perfect solution so what is worst is treated for till
it no longer is worst.
