If there are crystals in the urine then the TYPE
of crystal is very important because different
uroliths (urinary tract stones) are treated in
very different ways.

as you can see, depending on the type of
stone the approaches needed can be the
opposite of each other.

Yes, urinary stones are painful but they can
be tackled effectively. Steve and I have two
ferrets who get cystine uroliths and through
dietary changes have kept them each well for
over 5 years so far since their diagnoses as
juveniles.
