Subject: [ferrethealth] TOMMIE update: still in hospital

Tommie's blood tests sent out should be back Tues AM. His 2nd xray showed f=
ood is passing=A0fine! The vet felt it'd be best for him to stay in the hos=
pital at least until=A0tomorrow.
He is bright and=A0alert. I was told when picked up he seems fine until the=
y put him down on the floor then=A0he plops over.
Right after I put him down this AM after I picked=A0him up after he ran sid=
eways, I held him, gave him Nutrical, and prayed to God for Tommie to be "o=
kay!". But when I=A0put=A0him on the carpet, his head dropped into the carp=
et.=A0At 1st I thought he was wiping his chin like normal after eating or=
=A0getting Nutrical. But he=A0seemed to freeze in=A0position. He never seem=
ed to bounce back after the Nutrical. His glucose was normal (which was tak=
en about=A01 to 1 1/2 hours after giving the Nutrical).
This evening I asked the vet who called with an update if=A0he thought Tomm=
ie was going to die....he said "not tonight" but "we need his blood results=
to see what is going on".
WHY?? Why is this happening?? He was doing soooo good!! I=A0thanked God EAC=
H=A0DAY for letting him=A0pull through the surgery and to enjoy being a fer=
ret again!

Thank you for your prayers, PLEASE continue to pray as they are so very muc=
h appreciated!! I can not lose Tommie.=A0I just can't imagine my life witho=
ut him. He ALWAYS follows me everywhere!! I live=A0for him (and my parents)=
!!=A0I=A0do LOVE=A0Peanut and my 3 cats and 2 dogs BUT you know how that on=
e=A0ferret weasels their way a little deeper into your heart!! Well Tommie=
=A0did just that!! I am crushed but trying to be positive! It scares me tha=
t=A0this=A0just happened so suddenly.
After=A0I=A0find out what it going on with Tommie, I will post an update as=
soon as I am able.=A0I may not be able to ASAP due to my wrist and migrain=
es that have been occurring from my neck issues which have been bad=A0this =
past week, but I PROMISE I will answer as soon as I can.=A0
