I have used about 1 tsp (per day) of canned pumpkin (not pie filling, just plain pumpkin) mixed with some meat baby food and it has worked for me to firm up their poos. Might be worth a try. I'm not a vet, just a long time fert Mom.

busa, 1year8mos old, started to have runny b/m and weight loss about 5
months ago. we put him on flagyl 0.3ml 2xdaily for one week. he did
great while on meds but soon after he gets runny b/m again. we have
repeated this cycle a few more times with the flagyl, the latest being
a treament period of one month combined with the same amount of
amoxicillian. we now have him on prednisone 0.5ml 1xdaily. it has been
almost 2 weeks on this and there is no improvement at all. he has
gained weight, and is otherwise healthy, playful and eats well. his
food was changed from evo small bites dog (recommended to me) to evo
ferret....after i discovered how much fiber is in the dog food! anyway,
i, with my vet, am at a loss as to a treatment plan. any ideas or
advise would be greatly appriciated!
