Dear Rachael, first you need to hold them. I mean hold and pet them
so they get used to being held without being hurt in any way. They
are only reacting to what has happened in the past. Kindness and
compassion are what they need more than anything else. They are not
used to you and even though you are tryng hard to help them, they are
afraid. It will take time for them to trust you. I adopted 4 ferrets
this past 6 months....they are only now so comfortable with me as if
I had them all their lives. Give them lots of attention. I know it is
hard when you work but try to give them all that you can. They will
come around to you.:Let them get used to you giving ferret tone off
your hand, but while you hold them, talk gently to them. They will
react to your tone. I wish you well and they are very lucky you found
them.They will come around.
