Sheryl,
at your health food stores you can get calendula lotion or
cream. This is very effective, mild and safe to use on the shaved
area. If ingested it will not harm the ferret either.
Calendula cream or lotion is made from calendula flowers and is very safe.
we used to use it on hot spots and sores on adrenal ferrets in the
early days before melatonin.
It is a great healing cream for any skin abrasion.
