If the problem is an allergic reaction then Benedryl
afterwards will help. Think of it the same way that
you'd give Benedryl for pollen allergies. (Sometimes
with people when there is no choice but to give a
medication that s known to cause that individual to
have severe allergic reactions the physicians will give
IV Benedryl until they think it is all out of the person's
system. (having been there...))

A severe reaction requires more serious approaches:
epinephrin, fluids, etc.

Again, if the symptoms are mild it may NOT be a reaction:

Sometimes it can be hard to tell a weak allergic
reaction from a strong but correct
learning process of the immune system.

You know how people can sometimes feel sick and
even have fevers after vaccines? It's the same thing.

Vaccines work by teaching the immune system that
something is an invader so the immune system has
to control it. Therefore, a normal but strong learning
of that lesson will produce sickness symptoms.

An allergic reaction occurs when the wrong portion
of the immune system decides the thing is an
invader and then over-reacts badly.

So, if there had been a mild post-reaction illness
in symptoms that would be just normal learning.

If there had been a stronger set of symptoms then
that would scream "allergic reaction"

BUT in this case what has been seen is between the
two, so it is confusing because the level is not
clear cut.
