Hi Carol,
Did your vet determine that she is not adrenal and that is why you
haven't continued the Lupron?? Was the hair loss determined to be due
to something else, like malnourishment, heavy seasonal shed, etc.??
If she's not getting out of the cage on a regular basis, it would stand
to reason she would get overweight. How much time does she actually
spend out her cage? Every day? Couple of times a week?
I am assuming you are feeding her a normal ferret diet? If you want her
to lose weight, she needs 'regular' exercise. The key is regular, as in
daily. This is presuming of course that she is otherwise healthy.
