You do not say why the vet discounted insulinoma, some vets not
familiar with ferrets will discount insulinoma if there is no
detectable increase in insulin. This is often an incorrect assumption.

Some UTI's need a prolonged course of antibiotics, It took 32 days of
antibiotic treatment to resolve my Suki's UTI.
There may be a less than robust immune response to the UTI if there
is an underlying problem.
