Subject: [ferrethealth] Treatment for Scorpion Sting?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
I have a friend that recently moved to Mexico and brought her two
ferrets with her. She is concerned about scorpions that are common in
that area. She has seen them in her home and is worried about the
ferrets being stung.
There are no ferret knowledgable vets that she can talk with and she
sent me an email for help.
Does anyone on the list have experience with scorpion stings and how to
handle them until you can get medical help?
She describes these as: "the specific scorpions in my city have the
7th place as the most dangerous in the world. I have the name:
centruroides limpidus and centruroides vjovis."
Thank you,
Liz
