Subject: [ferrethealth] Gizzie - Liver ?
To: Ferret Health <ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com>

Hello all. I haven't posted in some time as I've been
fortunate to not have too many troubling ferret issues
as of late. Today, my 4 year old ferret, Gizzie, had
adrenal surgery. This is his second adrenal surgery
in 4 months. While taking a peek around at the major
organs he could see, my vet noted that Gizzie's liver
is very pale in color. He indicated the size and
shape of the liver are perfectly normal, but he was
concerned about the color. He opted to not biopsy the
liver at the time as he felt Gizzie had undergone
enough for this particular surgery (he had his left
adrenal removed and had a suspicious mass removed from
under his arm). Anyone out there have any ideas as to
why the liver color would be off? The vet also
suspects Gizzie may have lymphoma....the one "big
three" that I haven't had any experience with.

Thanks in advance for any input.
