Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Any Risks in giving Lupron to non-adrenal ferret?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I agree, when it comes to diagnosing adrenal disease ultrasound is a
waste of money. My boy Luthor, for example, had ultrasound done
(repeated twice, in fact). It showed both glands as normal. The U of
Tenn adrenal panel was run and showed testosterone level 3 times
higher then normal. The symptoms Luthor displayed were fitting with
the panels results. He was started on lupron and within 2 weeks all
symptoms resolved. Obviously, the ultrasound was wrong.
