Do you have any references for that, or are what
I found pretty much it, Ben?
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15242464
concluded:
BEGIN QUOTE
CONCLUSIONS: Unlike other ecosystems, the composition
of the oral cavity does not appear to be heavily influenced
by interactions between bacteriophages and their hosts.
SIGNIFICANCE AND IMPACT OF THE STUDY: Bacteriophage
for control of oral infections may need to be obtained from
other sources. Antibacterial substances derived from some
members of the oral microflora warrant investigation as
potential antibiotics.

Though
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17205783
which looks at them in feces offhandedly mentions them
which might refer to
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12485342
which specifically found Enterococcus faecalis bacteriophages
and
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/4008044
found ones specific to
Actinomyces viscosus
There again appears to be a dearth of studies on this related topic
in members of Carnivora, though. Info on saliva of members of
Carnivora seems to be pretty scarce if a person looks for actual
studies. (One or more aspects of saliva -- histatins, bacteriophages --
might be an interesting topic if any of the member
veterinary students is seeking a thesis.)
Just throwing in this new discussion because some are
considering giving bacteriophages for treatments:
