Hi Melinda,

Kudoes to you for rescuing this little guy! Sounds like you are doing
everything right for him.

The only other thing I would recommend is having a health check done by
your vet. And watch for struvite uroliths (bladder stones) from the
poor quality diet he was on. In fact get a couple of urine strips and
check his urine for his Ph levels.

Having his blood glucose checked as well might be a good idea.

I have a rescue who had a similar diet and had a few bouts of passing
the stones - extremely painful. If you enter 'Sampson and uroliths'
into the Search field - you'll get my posts on this little guy. One
