Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Our Rescued Ferret
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

to make his legs stronger i think will take time. i think you are
doing the right thing. maybe when the weather is warmer and if you
have a back yard that would help. Or put him on a leash and walk
him
i walk my ferret on nature trails and parks. When he sees the trees
he immediately perks up...

[Moderator's Note:
For outside ventures just do be be sure to
have the ferret up to date on vaccines, and
know the diseases that can be gotten and
how to reduce risks (example: no drinking
from wild waters, awareness of the diseases
which can be in soil in case the ferret becomes
ill. Awareness of nearby animals and of
plants that could be poisonous... Heartworm
preventative, ditto ticks and fleas... The risks
are low for some of these, but knowing what
can go wrong permits the right responses if
they do happen.]
