Subject: [ferrethealth] Ernie and his pooping problem

Ok so Ernie was sick two weekends ago. A vet visit was in order and it's results were that
Ernie had a fever. A fecal exam showed bacteria in his intestinal tract. He had had bad
diarrhea. Now after a week of cefa-drops later his poo has formed up nicely. However,
he keeps squatting and trying to poo, tho often there is mostly just some clear mucus.
I would appreciate any comments or suggestions to help him. He is about eight months
old. I really feel bad for him and I'm worried he'll end up with prolapsed rectum or
something!!
