Hi Deb,

The only other method, that I know of, that you could do yourself at
home would be clipping of the nails (too short a cut). It is painful
though, and I'm sure it isn't something you'd want to do on a daily
basis.

I always use the tail tip when testing my insulinomics, even when
testing more then once daily, and I've never had a problem with it.
Just alternate the spot that you lance (you can lance anywhere on the
tip of the tail, it doesn't need to be dead center).
