Subject: [ferrethealth] vets

I agree Sukie but when a vet goes and administers a med or test with
out telling you y or asking then it becomes a different situation no
matter how you slice it and it is unethical for any vet to do so.
As well as let people know of your pets situation and that person come
on line in the group and tells you they know what your pet was in vet
ofc for there for again unethical and invasion of any persons privacy
wether be a humans health record or animals

If this occurred somewhere then the situation
would depend on the circumstances, such as if
the vet was responding to a libel or slander. If
it was a general statement with no one identified
then a general discussion would certainly be
acceptable if it was on-topic for the FHL and
followed both law and FHL rules. If a person
perhaps recognizes his or her ferret but others
don't or even think it is someone else's then it
can't really be seen as violating privacy.
Either way, it would outside the scope of the
FHL and not one of our acceptable topics if it
did violate privacy rather than responding with
general answers to the post of the person, just
as we have to call the line at overt insults
against vets which can result in rejections or
editing out of the unacceptable statements
or of non-general statements.]
