How ironic, I just had a conversation with someone about giving half
doses. I remember reading a while back that it is not a good idea.
Although ferrets are much smaller than dogs, the distemper virus is
the same in both, therefore the same amount of antigens are needed to
ward of the virus. I recall an example given that a 6lb toy poodle
gets the same dose as a 160lb Great Dane.
