Subject: [ferrethealth] some symtoms what might my ferret have

hi, have a female ferret and she seems to not gaining weight, very thin,
can feel the ribs feels like no fat on body, very dry brittle fur,goes
to thebathroom normaly eats and drinks fine. sleeps more then the other
two ferrets.she is scared alot when she is up like raising your voice or
anything like that she hides under things and wont come out for a while
unless you try to pick her up and she is scared still, she bit me once
not hard. i only have her for 2 weeks now. i dont know how old she is i
am guessing 2 but may be older. she hasa bellylike most ferrets do her
fur is yellowish and i have a male the same breed and he is healthy and
no yellowing of the fur. someone know what it might be.she doesnt bit
anymore she is use to me handling with her. she wont play with other
ferret out of the cage and she hides her head under the blanket in the
cage when she is eating and when she thinks she is in trouble. or for
anyother reason. i try to pick her up and she backs up and hides or she
just keeps backing up hopeing i wont pick her up. someone help?
