Dr. Sue,

Yes, he is on Amoxi. Our vet's exact words about the Pepcid were 'pepto,
pepto, pepto! Don't skip this!' I'm so confused.

All his labs were normal, including liver values. And the stuff that came
out 'leaked' out of him like water, literally. It dripped on the floor,
down my shirt, on his tail. Then it stopped, and I've not seen anything
like that since. It reminded me of something that happened to me many years
ago when I had a horrible sinus infection when I lived in Colorado (very dry
there). I'd been on antibiotics for about a week when one day I bent over
to pick something up, felt a tingling in my sinus (left side)... then
suddenly the same icky looking liquid, same color as what came out of Boo
Boo's bottom, literally poured from my left nostril. I know that's
disgusting, but I swear it really reminded me of that.

The dark area on the x rays (I saw it too) was just a dark area, looked like
it could've had an edge. I don't know how to read an x ray, so I'm probably
not conveying this properly. But the doc couldn't tell what it was. He
said it wasn't anything attached to the adrenal gland, and that it looked
more intestine-related. He didn't think it was a blockage or anything,
though. He suggested that we take another x ray in a week or so to see if
that dark area changes in any way.

He didn't mention ultrasound, but I will certainly ask him about that
tomorrow.

The Amoxi was prescribed for Boo Boo to treat him for ulcer. He has a
history of ulcer, but it's been a while since he's had to be treated for a
flare up (may not be the correct term).

I won't have a vehicle tomorrow, so I won't be able to get Boo Boo any
Pepcid until early evening. Will it be okay, you think, to use the Pepto
until I can get him some Pepcid? I would go for the carafate but the vet
office will be closed by the time I have access to a car. Also, is there a
particular KIND of Pepcid I should get for him? I think there is a Pepcid
AC and maybe another kind? I want to be sure to get him the right stuff.

Oh, his stomach pain.... he's never stopped grinding his teeth since the
first time he was treated for ulcer. Even when he was eating and behaving
normally, no matter what I fed him, he would (and does) still grind his
teeth. I don't know what to think about that, and neither does our vet. He
had his first ulcer situation about 2.5 years ago. So yeah, that's a LONG
time to be grinding teeth. He did this even when he was on chicken gravy
(Bob Church's recipe, sans eggshells and bones).

Thanks to everyone who's sent emails and responses!* I appreciate it more
than I can say!
