Hi Eleanor,

Was an x-ray/barium done to rule out an obstruction? Ferrets will
generally stop eating if they have an obstruction. I would rule that
out first because he shouldn't be fed if he has an obstruction and it
does require a surgical intervention.

If its an ulcer/Helicobacter the carafate should soothe his tummy so
that he feels like eating again. But it must be given 20-30 minutes
before feeding.

How old is he?
