I assume he has been on Carafate for the teeth grinding secondary to
gastric ulcer? Also the combination therapy is Amoxi with Biaxin and
also Carafate for heliobactor. In the past Pepto bismol,
metronidazole and amoxi was used.

I would get Carafate when you can and he prob should get some
prednisolone but wait at least 20min after the carafate to give it
and give with food. I have also done mini fasts on them to rest the
intestinal tract a bit to help it heal. Minimum of 4 hours and if
not insulinomic you can go longer, then you need to try some types of
protein he hasn't had before that would be easier for his gut to
absorb. With IBD you need to get the inflammation down before he can
digest/absorb the food properly. I have also used something to coat
the intestinal tract well to help him heal it.

Also plenty of supportive care, electrolytes, maybe subQ fluids in
the beginning with an injectable antiinflammatory.

We usu try foods like Rabbit since it is unusal for ferrets as a
protein. There are some canned rabbit all meat dog and cat formulas
but you might need to be sure they have adequate Taurine in them. If
they are in an over the counter cat food form then they have prob
made sure there is enough in it but best to compare to other foods.

I am not sure if this is helpful or not but hopefully you can get him
back on track soon. Best of Luck.

You can try to post an x ray if you want but if you can't that's fine.
