Hello,

I am very sorry Rico is so ill.

I am a little confused - you say that the fecal sample grew nasty
bacteria but it is no known what the bacteria are??? If bacteria was
identified surely they would have some idea of what it is. I am
assuming the fecal samples will be sent out as well for
confirmation. Your vet must suspect what it is if he put Rico on
antibiotics.

It is certainly possible that he has a number of different things
going on at the same time. If he is in hospital and an exotics vet
is looking after him I am sure he is getting excellent care.

I know how difficult it is when a beloved fuzzy is so ill, we feel
helpless at times - put your faith in the medical professional who is
looking after him right now.

Warmest Regards,
Tressie
