yes i do understand that there could be multiple issues going on but I need=
anything to keep my hopes up. They will be drawing more labs today to see =
if rico is responding to the antibiotics. I also understand that with treat=
ment including an antibiotic, it is important to understand what bacteria y=
ou are dealing with for the drug to be effective. So with that said i mysel=
f am confused as to why the vet can not provide me with the answer as to wh=
at bacteria is being treated. The vet however is suspecting that it is some=
thing neurological and telling me that if that is the case then it is very =
serious. Rico's condition as of last night was stable and i will be anxious=
ly waiting by the phone to hear from them. I was just hoping that someone o=
ut there has seen something similar to this and can give me some advice. Th=
ere are=A0no other exotic=A0vet specialist in my area except rico's doc so =
i can not seek a second opinion. They did an x-ray but it came back
negative for findings,they did labwork, and a fecal sample. Other than tha=
t the care has been supportive. The antibiotic i can say, this is what the =
vet told me, also helps with bulking up the diarrhea. Not workin however be=
cause rico still has diarrhea. I am trully scared and this has been the lon=
gest week of my life!
