Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: canine either gone or broken above gum line
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

My Crash man had this happen. He wasn't eating as well as he use to
for 2 days and I was wondering what was going on. He's had a history
of stomach problems since he was older so I didn't even think about
checking his mouth. The second day I did and that's when I noticed his
upper canine gone. We went to the vet and she did an exam which showed
a little bit of the tooth up on the gumline so a little ferret root
canal was performed. It didn't take very long and the outcome was
great. After this happened he did have problems with his lower canine
hitting his upper lip and causing him a bit of discomfort so we did saw
the sharpness off of his lower canine. This seemed to help a bit.
With his crooked nose and one canine, he took the best pics! Crash
passed less than a month ago. He had several health issues that
unfortunately dispite 4 meds were just progressing so I helped him to
the bridge with respect.
