Subject: [ferrethealth] Need Advice. My Freddie ate some rubber.
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
Hi everyone, I need some advice about my 1 yr old Freddie. Three days
ago Freddie ate some rubber. It was almost the whole end of the suckie
part of a pacifier. It is softer rubber. Not the real hard type. I
have been watching him for the last three days. He seems totally
normal. He is eating and pooping normal. Just acting the same as
always. My question is should I just go ahead and get an
xray/ultrasound done to make sure he does not have a blockage. I do not
know how long it would take for him to show he is blocked. I mean, if
he isnt after three days does that mean he will be ok? Or could it be
slowly blocking things off a little at a time? He did eat a lot of
rubber. I have not seen any in his poop either. But it is a soft
rubber. Is there something I should do or just sit back and wait for it
to happen? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Anita & Freddie
