I have three thoughts.

Remove the EVO and Natural Gold from his diet. My kids had very
serious issues when they were fed these foods. Diarrhea, vomiting in
some, lethargy, weight loss, etc. We went through more then six months
of vet visits and meds before my vet suggested I remove the foods
(which I'd only been feeding for about 7-8 months). Within one weeks
time all symptoms subsided and my kids began perking up and putting
the weight back on. I know both are supposed to be very good foods,
and not all ferrets seem to have issues with them, but some do.

> Dec 29 Gave him an injection of low dose pred depot.

The pred depo, which I will guess was Depo Medrol, may be the cause of
the high glucose readings. My vet tried my ferret Charlie on this for
his insulinoma, Charlie's readings fluctuated from 70 to well over 400
for the next 3 to 4 months, until the depot wore off.

This would be my final thought. It's something that may not show on
any test aside from biopsy.
