Another thought. When glucose levels are high you will see weakness,
lethargy and lack of appetite. I know when my Charlie's levels were
elevated he was so bad off I thought for sure I was losing him. He
wouldn't eat and could barely walk or even lift his head. Once the
steroids wore off and his glucose levels stabilized he was as good as
new. So, what you're seeing now may be from the high glucose. If the
long acting pred depo is what is causing the elevated glucose, giving
pred, especially at such a high dosage, may not be a good thing. I
would suggest perhaps stopping the pred and keeping close tabs on
glucose levels by testing yourself at home.

And again, remove the EVO from his diet. I'm thinking perhaps the EVO
started the ball rolling and now the steroids are worsening things.
I'd certainly prefer that scenario to the alternative, and I'm sure
you would to.
