Thank you for all the help. It has taken me a while to sort it all
out and think it through. It's all sort of confusing and like trying
to find that one piece of the puzzle that eludes you.

As for the pred depot, it was a very small amount, the vet said it
would only last about a week, and was to reduce any remaining
inflammation.

The Albon seemed the answer for the diarrhea, yet now we have the
anemia and high blood sugar. I am not sure what to make of the high
sugar. I looked over my records and he was on oral pred the beginning
of January, after the depot medrol injection. when the diarrhea again
recurred, he was put on oral pred. He received the injectoin of depot
Dec. 29, so I am kind of hesitant to think it is still causing the
high blood sugar. He was removed from oral pred January 10. The Albon
was started 4 days later. The vet said the high blood sugar is
probably due to stress. That his body is kicking in lots of cortisone
and that is causing his blood sugar to spike.

If there is any chance that he acts almost dead b/c of anemia that
could be "fixed", I am reluctant to let him go, which is sort of how
I was leaning. Can anemia be reversed? I know the estrus anemia can,
but can other kinds?

The big thing now is getting him to eat. He is really not wanting
to. We just gave him sub-q fluids and then I managed to get him to
lick about a tsp of his ground chicken off my finger. He didn't even
want ferretone, his favorite comfort food.
