This is good news!!!! I am happy for your success. Perla still can't get
up and is getting worse.
She is on clavamox since Friday. Yesterday I rushed her on an emergency
because I did not like how badly she was looking. The vet she saw gave her at
shot of compounded prenidsone (not dex or depo medrol). He gave her .04cc of
50mg/ml, and 25cc of fluids.
When we got home she seemed to look worse, however this morning...she was
w/her head up, perky, even itching her self with her hind leg. She even
groomed herself a couple of times. She is sleeping now, and not the uncomfortable
sick ferret sleep, but rather the happy peaceful ferret sleep. She still
can't get up on her limbs yet...but two vets are hopeful. The vet who say her
last night had me up her prednisilone from .01cc 10mg/ml 2x daily to .02cc
10mg/ml 2x daily...and her fluids were upted from 10cc 2x daily to 25cc 2x
daily.
Her normal vet agreed.
Her blood was taken and based on the results.... she may change her
antibiotic from Clavamox to Baytril.
Based on her WBC we will decide if she will get her 2nd dose of Oral Cytoxin
on March 6th.
I am so happy to hear your good news.... I know how the slightest
improvement can ease your heart!
