Subject: [ferrethealth] Re:Alternative Suppliments Added to Veterinary Lymphoma Protocols
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Perla and I continue I an up hill battle..... one which we keep sliding
down.

Has anyone here on the FHL ever hear of...or ever use Pau d'Arco as a
suppliment to treating Lympoma.
Perla's vet has asked me to suppliment her with this (2-3 drops 2x daily),
and is also going to add Vitamin C injection, which will later be administered
orally.

I read up alittle on this herbal product and it seems to help to reduce
pain, shrink tumors, and help remission to occur. It also builds the immune
system...and is mentioned in the Pink Rabits, Ferrets ect.....book.

I am going to begin using it today, and the vitamin C will start Friday when
the injection arrives...to the vet's office.

Our blood values came back very bad... liver, kidneys all elevated. She is
now being sub Q'd 25cc 2x daily...and has been on liver meds, WBC low,
anemic....

We are trying everything for her. Her limbs are still week, and she can not
get up on them...however she got up at the vet and walked across the
table...so I think if she wants to she can...but is very weak.

She is also being supplemented w/Vivfy (emu oil) 3 drops 1 to 2 x daily.
I may add alittle ferrovite into her Baby Food...she loves to eat.

I would like to also use Essiac....does anyone know if Essiac can be used
together w/Pau d'Arco???

She is on:
.15cc prednisilone 10mg/ml 2x daily (just increased...but my vet prefers her
at .1cc)
Ursodoil .2cc 1x daily
Carafate
.25cc Calavmox 2x daily
Vivfy
will start Pau d' Arco today (2 to 3 drops daily)
will start Vitamin C injections Friday

She is due for Cytoxin (8mg) again on March 6th...the vet feels we should
press on regardless of blood results....I am debating..and the CBC will be
rechecked the day before.

Thanks for reading out post...and continuing to offer your advice,

[Moderator's Note:
It can dump their blood sugar levels and more
so scary for most:

and there are more.

Oh, and if radiation is used do not use C until
clearing it with an oncologist. Some tumors love
C so not only grow well with it but can shield
themselves from radiation using that vitamin.
That is why humans with some types of breast
or prostate malignancies are taken off even foods
with high C levels pre-radiation.]
