Subject: [ferrethealth] Re:Essiac Dosing???
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

We do not use the bottled stuff with alcohol. We purchase organically
grown herbs, double the origional recipe, brew our own, & start with
1 cc in their morning soup. Our results have been excellent.

Our first patient to use Essiac was Nick. He had a large, inoperable
tumor in his tummy, & was dying on the floor of his cage. I told my
husband "Well, we have nothing to lose. He`s dying anyway--let`s try
it!" We brewed our own, following the origional recipe off the
internet. In three days, Nick was walking to the box again, and in
two weeks he was walking around the room again. At first, the mass
appeared to enlarge a bit--but then it began to shrink! Nick stunned
everyone, including our vet at the time, by living nine more (good!)
months!

We have used it on our lymphoma kids with a good success rate--and in
December, after losing 10 of our furkids in 3 1/2 weeks,we used it to
combat the mystery illness that struck our room. Six days after
starting everyone on Essiac, there were no new cases, and the sick
ones began to (slowly) recover.

Our 14 year old chihuahua had mammary gland cancer. Her teats were
the size of walnuts. The vet wanted to remove the entire mammary
(chain?) on a 14 year old doggie. We took her home & used Essiac on
her. Six months later, I took Kayla to the vet to show him how good
she looked. Her teats were now reduced to the size of raisins. His
words were "THIS is a MIRACLE!" When I told him what we had used, he
wrote it all down in her file, and asked me for the recipe. We were
giving her a good teaspoon a couple times daily.

Instructions (for humans) are to take it on an empty stomach, but we
have always put it right into the ferrets` soup.

Advantages of Essiac are great. Slippery elm bark is very soothing to
the tummy. Essiac appears to boost the immune system. Their bloodwork
looks better after getting Essiac--especially the anemic kids. It
seems to fight depression a bit--and aid in restoring that will to
live. I have even given it to three kids experiencing bleedouts
(burgundy out the butt) and turned them around! The taste of the tea
is not objectionable in their soup. They lap it right up.

It is crucial to monitor their BG when giving this. I have seen it
lower a bit when using Essiac--and this is not good if they are
insulinomic. Some dip a bit--others do not.

Signs of too much Essiac include itchiness & upset tummy. If you see
these, back off a bit.

Many of our babies will never get well--but keeping them comfortable
means everything. When used properly, Essiac can be a valuable tool.

We gave a few jars to my mother in law when she was diagnosed with
lymphatic lukemia. She is now in remission.

I take it myself from time to time, too :)

Love, Zoo
