Subject: [ferrethealth] Carafate & Pepcid AC dosages and for all long

I have 3 ferrets on carafate and pepcid ac right now. One just had an left
nephroectomy last week and is doing good but still have some loose poos
issues off and on. The other is and 6 year old male that is adrenal and
insulinoma, and his cage mate that is 5 and half and has some
gastroenteritis issues. Can these both be given at the same time, how much
should they be getting, and for how long should they be taking these meds
for?
Right now I am doing both twice a day at different times and the dosage
amount is .25ml.
I took the 10 mg pepcid and disolved it with 5 ccs of water and shook it up
real good. The carafate is a 1 gram pill that we crushed in a coffee grinder
and added about 2 ccs of water too. I always shake both meds before giving
too.
