Subject: [ferrethealth] Atypical Ringworm
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I need help getting rid of this ringworm. I checked our archives and
did not find the same exact circumstances I have....

I have the really old unadoptables from our rescue. Along the way,
someone must have come in with ringworm. None of the coventional
treatments worked. So, took a biopsy and it came back as most
consistent with atypical ringworm. We have tried all the usual creams,
lyme dip, Itraconazole, antifungal shampoo, and most recently 3 months'
worth of Griseofulvin. Although the body has cleared up, I still see
that brownish 'discharge' around the nose and lips (which is what I see
at the very start of this ringworm course). I have a call into our vet
for further recommendations.

Please advise, I am going crazy with all this extra work.
