I'd like to thanks everybody that has helped me or send me their hearts. THANK YOU.

Nina had the abdominal US today and it showed nodules on her spleen, but it wasn't really conclusive.

We did an aspirated just because I can have a pathologist checking it for free, although she also mentioned it's really hard to make a dx if it's a small cell lymphoma. She looked over the slide the vet stained but she is staining the others with a better protocol this night. Still awaiting the results.

Nina is going downhill... at this point, even both vets from the clinic don't suggest exploratory surgery. The symptoms she has on her back is neurological, and not weakness. It's either something compressing the spinal cord or something on the spinal cord/spine. In both ways, prognostic is not so good.

One thing I noticed on Tuesday (and it wasn't there on Monday) is one of her vertebrae has a bump compared to the others. The vet agreed and we looked over the X-rays and there is a spot that shows the spine narrower at that point. It may mean nothing... who knows. There is nothing visible compressing it. The vet said we could do an MRI or CT... but she said we probably could not do too much with the results.

The vet also said we could try chemio, but she most likely wouldn't recover completely and they are concerned because it looks really aggressive...

After crying a lot, talking to other friends (that are vets - I am a grad student in a vet school), they all agreed I should set a date in case she doesn't get better with the meds.

I think it will be Saturday (and both vets are seeing her agreed), because my husband can go with me. If she start to suffer too much, it may happen earlier. My heart is broken, but I think I can't let her suffering like this.

I'll keep you all posted in how things are doing, and what the results are.

THANK YOU !
