Subject: [ferrethealth] hardened mass of fuzz hairball
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

My 3 year old male did the most alarming regurgitation the other morning an=
d finally out came a long, hardened fuzz & fur tube shape.=A0 It really cau=
sed him a lot of distress as he heaved from hips to head!

Are these usually removed with meds or is surgery done?=A0 I'm suspecting m=
y little female has them/one too as occasionally she gags a bit as she eati=
ng and her belly feels firm and sometimes as if it's bloated.

They both eat raw 3 times dai;y and 8in1 ferret kibble at night or snack at=
water stations all over the house during the day.

Any advice would be kindly appreciated.=A0 I just rescued a 3rd silky sable=
boy.=A0 Terribly emaciated but he is eating well and getting more relaxed.=
=A0 All skin & bones, poor fella.

Cheers,
Jilli + 3
