Thank you Dr Ruth, that is what I meant. My ferrets haven't had any
vaccinations at all so they would be okay. I'm still not sure whether I
will vaccinate them and take them with me but this is good to know.
I also want to thank everybody else for their replies, they were all very
informative and interesting.
The good thing about the rabies vaccination is that it only requires
boosters every 3 years so I wouldn't need to worry about vaccinating the
ferrets again for a long time.

[Moderator's Note:
Although IMRAB-3 is a three year vaccine in some species
(dogs, cats and sheep) there are others for which it has
only been tested for one year of effectiveness (ferrets,
horses, and cattle).
