Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: TMJ in ferrets

Does the ferret have neural crest genetic variations like extraneous white spotting, or panda head, or blaze head, or partial mitts, etc? Is the ferret all white (which would make it impossible to see coloration signs of neural crest genetic variation heritage? Inability to open a jaw fully has been mentioned quite a lot of times in the past here, on the FML, and in the Ferret-Genetics list when ferrets have that genetic difficulty. I've never read of an effective answer for dealing with the malformation, though.
