UPDATE:
Thanks for the emails.
I took her to the emergency vet, who did nothing. Her regular vet is not open until tomorrow. I called the other vet who still insists it is an injury and not a seizure. Her glucose is 98. She was not able to not tolerate meds for her insulinoma, that is the reason her sugar is controlled with diet and exercise only. The lowest it has ever gotten was 72 and she has never had an attack before, so I considered it controlled, but after all of the emails, I think we may try it again.
She began trying to walk...or rather, moving her legs like she is running in the air??? She can weakly support her top half with her front legs, but her back legs don't seem to be able to do much other than kick and push. Still no control of her bowels or urine.
Is this still consistent with a seizure? She will respond to stimulus starting about halfway up her back.
I have some human prednisone in pill form...can she take that? I can do the dosage calculations, if so. I was thinking a dose of 0.5mg/kg to be safe??? Or does this just sound too risky??? Her regular vet will be open tomorrow, but I don't feel that I have other options until then. I am not going to do anything before receiving advice, but it has been a thought.

Today she fell out of her hammock (about 6 inches max) and started raring back and squealing uncontrollably. My daughter picked her up and brought her to me. I only had her a couple minutes before she became completely paralyzed!...
[Moderator's question and some help:
Please, give more details about the TYPE of problem Minka
had with her meds. She may be one fro whom injected
Dex is the right approach. See:
http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/ferrethealth/message/9882
The recent number is not consistent with insulinoma
usually unless she had recently had sugars. A ferret
knowledgeable vet will also know about surgery. See:
http://ferrethealth.org/archive/FHL8203
and
http://ferrethealth.org/vets/
and if your location is not covered give people a general
idea where you are and perhaps recommendations or
useful regional vet lists can be provided for your needs.]
