Did she have an x-ray done to confirm spinal injury?
When you say she wasn't able to tolerate medications - what do you mean? There's three different medications available to her for insulinoma, and different combinations of those as well (i.e., prednislone/prednisone, Dexamethasone and Diazoxide). I would not give her human pred. You need an appropriate dose for her weight and size.
If this is due to an injury, a steroid might also help but again, you would need to see a vet who would determine the correct dose.
I am sure you already know this - she does need to be kept clean so that her skin doesn't get burned or infected from urine and stool.
Keep her clean and comfortable, and probably limit her movement until you can get in to see your regular vet.
