Subject: [ferrethealth] Overdose of Flea Preventive
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I am asking this for someone else and will relay the response(s) to them. A group of ferrets were treated for fleas and earmites with Revolution. Apparently this information was not passed along and two or three days later, a veterinarian treated again, product unknown. What would be the possibility of reaching toxic levels? Also, what presentation of symptoms would you expect from such an overdose?

Thanks

[The answer may depend on how two different
products interact, or on dose levels if the same
product. Can you find out what was used?

Over the counter approaches and collars have
cause the marrow to fail in ferrets, but that's
different.
