Yes, Pedialyte is safe for sick ferrets, and sometimes
very useful, though not all need it by any means. It's
been a long time since we've had to use it.

Healthy ones don't need it, except you may give it to
help them learn the taste.

See the bottle instructions. I think that it is two days it
has to be used within. The reason is that the electrolytes
will combine with each other after that time and the benefit
will be gone. That is why many people prefer electrolyte
powders when they can get them: less waste so better cost
efficiency.

Some have suggested that freezing may prevent that but
I don't know if anyone actually checked with a chemist on
that score to see if it really would be of any use, so i will see
if one can provide us with that info.
